Fisheye Lens FLUX LoRA: Wide-Angle Distortion for AI Art

TL;DR

What This Model Does

The Fisheye Redmond FLUX LoRA adapts Black Forest Labs' FLUX.2-klein-9B model to produce images with the characteristic barrel distortion and ultra-wide field of view of a fisheye lens. Unlike standard wide-angle lenses, fisheye lenses create extreme curvature at the edges, bending straight lines into dramatic arcs.

The model was trained on a curated dataset of fisheye photography, learning to replicate the optical signature: hemispherical projection, strong edge distortion, and an expansive 180-degree field of view compressed into the frame.

Training and Base Model

The training focused specifically on the fisheye aesthetic rather than general style transfer, making it a precision tool for this specific look.

Trigger Words and Usage

Add the instance prompt to your generation:

Fish Eye Lens. Fish eye camera.

This prompt was used during training and produces the strongest effect. The LoRA works at typical FLUX LoRA strengths (0.7–1.0).

  1. Load the LoRA via Load LoRA node
  2. Set strength to 0.8–1.0
  3. Include the trigger words in your positive prompt
  4. Generate

Other UIs

The Safetensors file is compatible with Automatic1111, WebUI Forge, and diffusers. Place in your models/Lora folder and reference with <lora:FISHEYE-REDMOND-FLUXKLEIN:0.8>.

Example Applications

Common Errors and Fixes

Error | Cause | Fix | Source

|---|---|---|---

Weak fisheye effect | LoRA strength too low | Increase to 0.8–1.0 | HF model card Over-distorted subjects | Strength too high or prompt conflicts | Reduce to 0.6–0.7, simplify prompt | Inference observation Model not loading | Wrong file format or path | Use Safetensors, check models/Lora path | General LoRA troubleshooting

FAQ

Q: Does this work with FLUX.1-dev or FLUX.1-schnell? A: Trained specifically on FLUX.2-klein-9B. May work on other FLUX variants but results are untested.

Q: Can I combine this with other style LoRAs? A: Yes, stack LoRAs in ComfyUI. Reduce individual strengths (e.g., 0.5 each) to avoid conflicts.

Q: Is there a Civitai page? A: Not currently — only on Hugging Face.
